my specialty is the hand-tied mixed bouquet. I never make the same bouquet twice, which I suppose is not terribly efficient as I can't crank out hundreds of bouquets per hour, but each is its own unique creation, a small, fleeting art object with flowers as materials.
I let the selection of the initial flowers dictate the mood and composition of the final bouquet, and I like creating the bouquet to fit the person. one subscriber likes romantic and pretty, another, a painter, likes vivid saturated color.
this week's selection of flowers from the garden afforded a wide range of bouquets. five months into the season, I finally picked up the camera to capture the ephemeral beauty. enjoy!
